![]() | About MeFor the past 12 years, Mark Vestal has served as Chief Executive Officer of Western Pacific Produce, Inc., a Santa Barbara firm with offices throughout California. As CEO of the global produce firm, Mark Vestal develops the company's short- and long- term business plans by making strategic decisions and directing the overall path of the company as well as directing its resources. Regularly contacting Western Pacific Produce, Inc.’s Mexican plant, Mark Vestal sets quotas and pricing on the millions of cartons of goods it imports yearly. Moreover, he creates and develops new markets and products for the business.Recently, Mark Vestal expanded Western Pacific Produce, Inc. by creating a marketing affiliate to promote its fresh vegetables. Another of Vestal's initiatives led to the development of Fresh Cooling, a larger commercial cooler in Mexico. Western Pacific Produce, Inc. also owns other commercial properties in California, which Mark Vestal oversees. Before starting in business, Mark Vestal attended Polytechnic State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Marketing. During his undergraduate years, he organized ski trips for the student body. Active in softball, flag football, and golf during this period, Vestal also played chess and earned induction into the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Outside of his professional obligations, Mark Vestal participates in many activities. A pilot, he belongs to the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, in addition to holding membership in the National Rifle Association and the American Bonanza Society. During his spare time, Vestal wake boards, team ropes, fly fishes, and hunts. In philanthropic matters, he performs beach cleanups, delivers food to homeless shelters, and donates to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Intermountain Junior Rodeo Association, and the Dream Foundation. |
